In a post-apocalyptic world made entirely of waste, a strange creature made of trash sleeps. It´s name is LačnaČna (aka HungryGry). When it wakes up, it is hungry. It eats. And eats. And wants more. It is never enough.

Too big and clumsy to search for food itself, LačnaČna relies on its scavengers to bring it an endless supply of garbage. But when one of its scavengers finds love among the remains of human overconsumption, the routine is suddenly disrupted. Can love survive in a world buried in waste?

LačnaČna is a non-verbal physical theatre performance that uses humour, absurdity and discarded materials to reflect on overconsumption, our endless appetite for more, and the waste we leave behind. Through a simple story, it opens up questions that are increasingly difficult to ignore and invites audiences of different generations to reflect on the world we are creating.
